We call this conditioner ‘Day to Day’ because we want to offer something you can use daily without accumulating build up. We’ll take the conditioning sans residue, please! That said, for those who love a leave on, this new formula is ahhhmazing for just the right amount of definition without heaviness.

At the heart of our new formula is Brassicyl Valinate Esylate, a conditioning ingredient made from plant-derived fatty materials and the amino acid valine. It works to smooth the hair's surface, reduce friction between strands, and make detangling easier which means less hair-breakin’ tug and a softer, more manageable mane.

What the heck is Behentrimonium Methosulfate (BTMS)?
Behentrimonium Methosulfate (BTMS) is a conditioning ingredient belonging to a family of compounds called quaternary ammonium compounds, or quats. Certain quats can pose risks to aquatic organisms and persist in the environment. Concerns about BTMS's environmental impact inspired us to seek a different approach to conditioning.
Why did you reformulate Day-to-Day Conditioner?
We said goodbye to BTMS and took the opportunity to rethink our approach to conditioning. Our new formula features plant-derived, amino acid-powered conditioning ingredients that smooth, soften, and help detangle hair while readily biodegrading. It's a new generation of conditioning, with the same commitment to happy hair.
What makes the new formula different?
At the heart of our new formula is Brassicyl Valinate Esylate, a conditioning ingredient made from plant-derived fatty materials and the amino acid valine. It helps smooth the hair's surface and reduce friction between strands, making detangling easier with less tugging and pulling. We've also swapped the heavier botanical oil load of our previous formula for organic sunflower oil, with glycerin and panthenol for moisture support and plant-derived fatty alcohols for silky slip.
