UPCOMING:

Plants for Protection (In Person)

with founder Rachel Budde, in collaboration with the Alembic.

Location:

The Berkeley Alembic

2820 Seventh Street Berkeley, CA 94710

About the Class:

Humans have depended on the protective powers of plants as much as we have depended on them for medicine, food, shelter, fiber and fuel.

The concept of ‘protection’ is complex. In the immediate sense, we want to protect ourselves from outside forces that might do us harm, yet the most profound way to protect ourselves is to get to the root of our unsafety, or sense of it. Plants, in both their medicinal influence on our physiology and in their unique energetics in form of amulets, or symbols can offer us protection on many levels.

In this class, which is part discussion, part experiential, herbalist Rachel Budde will discuss plants for protection and their roles in supporting us in creating boundaries, and assessing threats.

Bitters - A Flavor to Digest

152 W 5th Ave, Eugene, OR, United States, Oregon 97401

ABOUT:

Herbalist Rachel Budde of Nevada City, California will be joining us at the Mountain Rose Herbs Mercantile to dive deep into the world of herbal bitters.

Bitter is the flavor of our ancestors, and like many things from our past, we’ve been running from it. As the flavor of bitter is disappearing from our diets, our digestive function has suffered. A dysfunctional gut disconnects us from core wisdom, amongst other aspects of our wellness.

Join us for a FREE CLASS to explore bitter herbs, the physiology of digestion, and the magic of making bitters. You'll get to try some different bitter flavors and embark on a lifelong journey to better support wellness through the power of plants!

PLEASE RSVP IF YOU ARE ATTENDING!
