Really like lip/cheek stains since I’m a makeup minimalist. I hate the metta good lip/cheek stain, which is a more wine-like color. But wanted to try something more warm in tone since I have green and gold in my brown eyes. This stain is the ticket, except I need to use much more than my metta good stain. Also, kinda wish I didn’t have to stick my fingers in it each time. Otherwise, really prefer this one because of the color.

This balm has a nice berry flavored tint. The color is not super strong, but it perfect for those days when you want to look just a little brighter and refreshed. Very moisturizing for the lips and layers nicely under the lip paints if your lips are a bit dry and if you want to alter lip paint colors a bit. The smell reminds me of Christmas and fades quickly. I don't really use it on my cheeks as my cheeks tend to be a little on the pink side already. Looks much darker in the jar than when worn.

We’ve noticed that a lot of Lip and Cheek Stain fans tend to sleep on its spicy sister Ruby Red. Like the Solange to Lip and Cheek’s Beyonce, Ruby Red is more mysterious at first but it’s charms run deep. A light wash of orangey-red, and subtly scented with essential oils of clove and orange, it’s a quick fix of color before your next zoom call and a buildable blush for your daily rounds.

FAQ
What is the difference between Lip and Cheek Stain and Ruby Red Tinted Balm?
They are similar, they are both sheer but the color is slightly different. Lip & Cheek is more of a cool red tone and Ruby Red is a bit more of a warm orange red tone.
Can this be used on cheeks as well?
Yes! Ruby Red is great for a sheer cheek tint as well as for the lips.
