Oh Dang! Is right. Haven’t worn lipstick for two years. Found this lip paint by fatandthemoon at smallsisgood . There’s a one in a million chance that I pick the right color. Today is my day, yo. Also came home with some more sesame based candy. You do you, I do me.

Color pop for lips and cheeks from fatandthemoon 🌈
It sure felt great to be out and about in beautiful Santa Barbara today, dentist appointment included! 😂 And tonight I piled on all of the warming accessories for a very casual dinner with my brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew! My fun Nevada City souvenir, fatandthemoon’s natural lip paint, included. 💋🍊 #hatlady #santabarbara #californiawinter #fatandthemoon

Today’s look was created using products from one of my longtime favorite natural companies fatandthemoon they create such beautiful and sustainable products that have plant/earth magic in them. The pigments they use are truly a dream to work with and I always feel empowered and excited when I wear one of their lip paints.
Lipstick just for me, and a reminder to myself that I am still more than just a body carrying a baby
When I was younger I would have hated this picture... even though it captures who I really am. I remember getting made fun of as a kid for my lips. Crazy how I was a child and still remember that feeling.
I remember looking in the mirror as a teenager and criticizing the features that make me who I am and connect me to my ancestry.
I will never fit into the euro centric standards of beauty...
and as an adult I can FINALLY accept that. What an amazing feeling!!
Growing up I loved Selena.. and I realize it’s because I saw myself in her. Representation really does matter.
I have always wanted to be what the young version of me needed: a woman to look up to that is strong and rooted in herself. I am so thankful to finally feel I am becoming that.
Happy Sunday 🌙
While a red lip might not have the same public impact it once did, it sure has pod impact!
Make an entrance into your living room with Mortar & Pestle, the chosen vehicle for Baba Jaga herself. It honors the magic work of mixing, stirring and transforming- you know, 2020. Mortar & Pestle is the perfect brick red: coppery and earthy, somehow bright and deep at the same time. This Lip Paint has an OG matte finish, with superb staying power, and a little goes a long way. Believe me, even a masked red lip radiates classic sass.

The Souls Within (the bods) Series. FM models, like our Coven in general, are made up of incredible humans. In this series, we want to share with you who they are, what they do, so you can crush on their inside out gorgeousness.
Meet Salma.
“My name is Salma Vir. I’m a creative, grad student, and mental health advocate living in Taos, NM. I am an artist of the African and South Asian diasporas. My mother is from Punjab, India and my father is Black-American, with ancestry from Nigeria, Ghana and Sierra Leone. I am currently working towards a Double M.A. in Art Therapy and Counseling.
I am a dancer, painter, jewelry designer, tarot reader, and makeup artist - I do all of these art forms intersectionally and with great passion.
I have been modeling for Fat the Moon for over 2 years now and I have never felt more honored, respected, and valued as a creative and model. My FM products have become staples in my skincare and makeup routines. My favorite products - the Lip Paints. You can use these on the lips, eyes, and face to create glossy, dewy monochromatic looks. I set these dewy looks and even my skincare routine with the Sage and Rose Face Mist. For body and hair scent, it's the Plant Perfumes ALWAYS! I have all four scents - Persephone Emerges and Artemis at Dawn being my most cherished and used. I take these products wherever I go in my FM Toiletries Bag… I have about 3 of these bags myself and have gifted them to literally ALL my family members and yes, I intend to order more. I love the shape, texture, color, and size of this bag! It is my go to as a beauty product user and makeup artist.”
